I have just become a non-smoker and absolutely have no problem with not smoking in public places. What I do have a problem with, are the restaurants that do serve alcohol. Bothers me to get in my car to leave and wonder how many others that were just inside drinking, are now leaving & driving home. And for little kids to see adults drink with their dinner, then get in their car & drive out of there. Hard to argue that you do not drink & then drive. But look at the astronomical costs for the County or City, if one does get picked up for driving while impaired or worse.

It hasn't been allowed in Ohio for several years now. I used to barely be able to be in a restaurant before! It is so wonderful NOT to have smoking allowed in restaurants!

What about where you live?
Not in Oklahoma, not allowed Thank God...
Sorry to those who smoke, my husband just stop about 6 months ago and I'm so proud of him!

No smoking in Illinois and I think it is just great. My husband always said - "Having a no-smoking section in a restaurant is like having a no-peeing section in a swimming pool." It all mixes up eventually.

when I think of all the big money I spent on very expensive perfumes when I was a smoker, now that I am for at least 25 years a non smoker, and realize that no perfume will take the cig odor off you or your hair or your clothes. Smokers think of this. lol

I have never smoked---BUT I'd rather sit w/ the smokers than the screaming, ill behaved children we often encounter in resturants!I DO LOVE CHILDREN,as long as the are being parented & behaving!
