Thank you! He'd probably load right up if you offered a carrot or handful of grain! That son of a gun will walk straight up a wall if you offer him enough food. :D

I love the sound of Doc, what a sweetie. Sounds like the kind of horse I should have got. Instead I fell in love with a Spanish mare who turned out to be a 'nightmare'. Oh, but she was beautiful! I so identified with both your stories, Karla and Rachel. I cried my eyes out the dday she went - luckily the seller took her back (for less than I'd paid, of course!) I had her around 7 months. I still miss her though.

What exercise you are getting. I would have to be asking Santa for a snow plow, how long did you work at that shoveling?

What breed were your two geldings?
They were just mixed, but a lot of QH in there.

Yeah, I consider I burn 1000s of calories, then eat 2000. We have a snow blower--see reasons for not using it for this in a previous reply. The first stage took maybe 45 min, the second was at least an hour. I work steadily--no breaks over 45 seconds. I never know how tired I am until I quit.

Now everything is frozen in the morning, but the paths are mud by the time I get home from work. Skate to slop.

Ugh...I don't envy you ANY of that mud Karla! We have had sooo much rain this winter that DH and I will be repairing tractor tire ruts for months to come. Thank goodness he can pick up dirt and sand with the bucket on the front and all I have to do is kinda smooth it with a shovel...
