I know Geraldine... I grew up down that way. ;-)

The difference in the two islands is probably more noticeable to us.... the north is more "business like" and the south is more relaxed and easy going. Of course, the cities are the same wherever you go, it's the small towns that are the places you really want to visit.

OMG -- such a beautiful place!!! (Not to mention you being so brave as to take all those little boys on a field trip.... :lol: )

The picture of the church would be lovely to do in one of those landscape quilts! Unfortunately, I don't have the talent but I bet you could do it! :D

Thanks, Blue, for the pictures. Yes, I can see those vines in the window in a quilt - either as quilted lines OR bias. I KNOW you are going to do it!

DH flew to NZ several times when he flew for PanAm out of San Francisco. We had a family trip planned there and had to cancel when I threw out my back. Never were able to re-plan. We'll get there some day! Your pictures are making me want to start planning again!
