Beautiful photos, Blue!! I agree, you are truly blessed to be living there! I also really love the cabin and the church pics, as I love visiting historical sites!
And I am greedy & envious, and would love to see more of everything! :D :D

Thanks for sharing. About 7 years ago I spent 10 days touring the South Island with my husband. He was with the Antarctic squadron and Christchurch was their Jumping off point. He was still working after a season on the Ice and I flew down and met him there. It is a beautiful island!!! I hope to go back someday.
One of our favorite things to do was to hit the rose gardens in each town we visited. I also remember how friendly the people were everywhere we went. We stayed in several Bed and Breakfast's and really enjoyed visiting with the owners and other guests as well.

Thanks so much for posting the pics Blue. You can see why NZ is used by so many film companies to make movies, the scenery is just stunning. That tree was especially interesting....almost expected to see a Hobbit in the background!
I worked with a girl many years ago who named her baby girl Kea. She had been to New Zealand and she and her partner had toured on motorbikes. When they stopped to eat, the Keas actually descended on the bikes and started picking at the mirrors and ripping bits of the seat. Guess she thought her daughter would be a mischievous little character!
Must be great to see such lushness all year round. It gets so dry here in the West....by summertime everything is so parched looking. Think I'll bookmark so when it gets too hot I can look at your beautiful pics.
Thanks once again.
