Well if someone must get it in Seattle, I would gladly take on the swine flu if it meant saving your daughter from getting it!!! I would sure hate for a pregnant woman to get it!!!
Dear Leona - I want no one to get this. Not my daughter, Gabby, and not you. You are a sweet woman. We can sterilize, wash, etc., and no one has to get this. Thank you for your thoughts. Thank you. Pam

Last night they announced that we have 6 cases in the state of Washington and one in northern Oregon...it is getting scary how it is popping up in so many locations now!

I read an article by a doctor that said making sure that you're getting enough Vitamin D (milk and sunshine) will improve your resistance. We have nothing to lose by trying it!

I would advise using the clorox wipes and DO NOT add alcohol.. with some additives you can cause a chemical reaction that is not only noxious, but toxic. Clorox will kill almost anything.. as I remember the exception is spores, which I don't think are a factor with this. A number of our stores, that provide carts, also have wipes available to wipe off the handles. Nice, I think.

I am at a nursing convention this week. They talked about it this morning and the presenter didn't think it was much of a big deal. Just wash hands frequently. Well, it's a big deal for those who get it! Guess it's time to stay at home as much as possible. And yes, that hand sanitizer stuff really does work. Just remember it has to dry after rubbing it in to be effective. Keep some in your purse.

Bath & Body Works has hand sanitizer Pocket bac's 5 for $5 great to fit in your pocket. Not trying to promote a product from my employment, but the stuff really works. Sorry if I spoke out of turn.

Hey Machel - it's a good product. No problem with me. I love their scents, and they all feel so good. Even if you use unscented store-brand, it works!

They had an article in the paper here about it and included ways to help prevent catching it. I can't believe the idiot actually listed (at the very end) "It is OK to eat pork as long as it is well cooked." With no disclaimer afterward that you can't get swine flu from eating pork, well done or not!!! What an irresponsible freaking MORON!!! Now we'll get folks freaking out about pork! Yeesh!

Just a thought:

100 years ago people said that there was NO WAY that a black man would ever become president of the United States. I mean....."WHEN PIGS FLY"

Now....100 days into Barack Obama's presidency we have

SWINE FLU!
