The news people were talking about not even shaking hands. What about the people who think they have to hug and kiss everyone they come in contact with. :? It's one thing to hug your family but now days it seams like everyone has to hug everyone. Whats up with that? Some of that may have to stop. It's like Ellen said on her show, don't hug unless I enitate it.

Has anyone thought about how this will further devastate our economy? The pictures of Mexico City I see on the news portray it as a ghost town. ouch! our retailers/restuarants will REALLY be hurting then.

They confirmed here last night that the students we had who went to Mexico DID return with swine flu.
But the most important fact that people seem to be ignoring is that by the time the tests were confirmed the students were all recovered! Only one still has the sniffles and he has chronic asthma, which has complicated things.
If your health is compromised then you need to be careful, but lets face it, if your health is compromised then you're being careful anyway!!

I have started working in an upscale consignment store here in town. We sterilize and clean all clothes that come in, but we are going to put out a tray with sterile wipes and towels for the customers who come in. Everything helps. And the customers feel better too. As we do. This is not a passing thing, I think. With this global world, diseases pass that never came here before. Kind of like when the missionaries went to Hawaii, Frontiersmen went to the Indian territories, etc. and smallpox spread around. Makes you just want to hide in the closet!

YIKES!! I am such a germ-a-phobe!! I ride the bus to work to Downtown Seattle every day because parking is a nightmare in cost and finding a space! Riding the bus is like a big germ on wheels!!! It always sounds like an orchestra of sniffles, coughs, and sneezes!! I already hate it, now I'm really going to be phobic!! I am always afraid of getting the flu of any form because I am allergic to the darn flu shot so I have no protection there, AND I'm allergic to the ingredient they use in cough expectorant, so if i get a cough I am SOL.
I hope that all you and your families will remain healthy!!
