Kindness and generosity is never a mistake. When her life is more stable, maybe the young woman will pass it on. You may not get a tangible benefit right now but you showed that, despite hardship, you are in charge of your own life and made your own decision according to your own values.

I think what you did was wonderful and heartfelt. I am sure that you made that girl's day a little brighter and can also say that you have started this new week off on a very positive note for all of us reading your story. You are indeed an angel :)

I think you did a wonderful thing. The other night when I was coming out of the pharmacy there was a homeless man there (I don't usually see them there) and I smiled at him and said hello. He said thank you so much for sharing a smile with me.
As I continued to my car, I felt bad. All it took was a smile to make this man feel happy even if for a moment in time. I went to my car and got what little cash I had (I don't carry a lot of it) and I walked back and said to him, here it's not much but maybe enough to get you a dinner. He answered me with tears in his eyes. "Thank you and God Bless"
Made me feel good and I am sure you feel good for what you did as well.
Hugs
