I cannot sleep on the temper-pedic as I cannot walk the next day my hips and whole back are stiff and hurt good thing they give a free trial but then all mattresses are not meant for everyone my idea of the best is the one each person sets
for themselves

Mine went to SD.

My DH wanted one so we got one, he really liked it from the get go for awhile so I tollerated it but I hated it right from the beginning. I got very hot and sweaty and the bed was to hard for me and if you got out of the spot you layed in for awile then the rest of the mattress was cold. I ached and hurt every morning when I would get up. After a couple years he decided he didn't like it anymore either so we sold it.

We bought one once, and both DH and I were always too hot and sweaty. So we got rid of it.

Our son and DIL bought one recently and they have been very disappointed in it. Their main complaint was that it did not recover as quickly
as it should. Another son and DIL sent us a memory foam mattress pad last year and I have found that it doesn't recover very quickly either. I've seen the Tempur-pedic mattress advertised in soft, medium and firm. I wonder if that would make a difference in how comfortable it is.

I couldn't sleep on a tempur-pedic either.....I never had a back problem but I couldn't walk for half a day when I used a friends guest room. DH does have a back problem and don't know how he even got off the bed. He was in agony.

I have a Beautyrest or Serta Perfect Sleeper I've had since 1975 and love it. (Don't want to unmake the bed to see which it is)

Interesting comments. My friends have one, and they are both heavy people. They love theirs. Have never heard them say it was hot. In fact they say it is the most comfortable mattress they have ever owned.
