Just wondering just how semi permanent it is... Is it a stain? I am thinking that is what it is... So good old laundry soap will take out hair stain from your hair. If it is more of a tint that does get inside the hair that could be more problematic. To lighten hair you must be able to remove color so that in my opinion is permanent hair color. If the back part is just too light that is an easy fix you can just do the darker color over it. If your bangs are not that bad you could just match the back to the front by buying the one box again. Then try your two tone next time, chalk it up to not being multi-tasker anymore.

I thought it was a joke but I kept reading. I thought I knew what the punch line was going to be but I kept reading. Bless your, uh her heart. I would shampoo it, condition it, shampoo it, condition it, until it runs it life span and goes away. There are conditioners you can leave on your hair. Wear a turban, nice makeup and jewelry when your in the company of others. Your friends will be impressed. No need to tell them about the um,ur,?challenge?. Then again, only your hairdresser knows for sure.

The color stripper works great. Use it only on your bangs and lighten them to the point the back looks darker, maybe a little bit. I have done this several times when some jaybird switched the bottles in the boxes. Now I check before leaving the store, that I have the right bottle in the right box. Mgr. says the kids come thru and do it. LOL

    Thanks everyone for the ideas.
Since I posted the original a couple hours ago I've had to run some errands.
Nobody screamed in fright as I approached nor snickered behind my back as I left so maybe I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill.
I'll live with it through the weekend and see what the kin folk say.
    thanks again.

I feel your pain, I once had green hair due to a coloring accident. Keep washing it!

If you do this I would make sure you use a very good conditioner and when you go to rinse the conditioner out make sure you use a cooler temp water than what you washed in. The cooler water will make the hair shaft close up really fast helping to hold in the conditioner. Good Luck! I did chuckle a bit but I think we have all been there done that!!!

thank you for the info! I'd never heard that using cooler water would help hold the conditioner inside the hair.
