there is something seriously wrong with me.

I think we all suffer from this syndrome from time to time. Just pick something and work on it. I usually have 3 or 4 quilts going at one time to combat the boredom of working on the same thing for the months it takes me to finish a project. I usually commit a week of my time to work on a project and if it's going well, I may stick with it longer. If not, on to the next project. Right now I have 4 that I'm working on. I can usually stand anything for a week. Eventually, they all get done and by the time they are finished, I've fallen in love with the quilt all over again.

I have also felt the all too frequent quilters ADD. I have wondered if my stash was smaller would it make it easier? by eliminating some of the choices maybe I could/would work with a narrower selection. I doubt it ...but there is an ironic twist to just thinking about it.

i usually let gift-giving guide my next project. then, if i see something that i especially like on here, i create from that inspiration. then there are those projects that come up due to leftovers from another project. so many quilts... so little time.

I finally sat down and identified all of my UFOs...yes the overwhelming feelings started to take over. I took a deep breath and patted myself on the back for even figuring out what projects I had going! Then I decided to start with the projects nearest to completion and work backwards. All "new" ideas get saved on the computer or printed and filed...not started.
Signed,
Newly back on the wagon (clean and quilting sober for 3 weeks and counting) and hanging on for dear life! :)

Pathetic is right! Where are my big boots so i can kick you in the rear! I have so much to do also and get frustrated when I can't do any sewing at all and it is all work work work and paper work. I am supposed to be retired. So I just pick whatever suits my fancy at the time to work on. Hope you get motivated.
