My avatar is a dancing and singing kitty. I chose her because all my life I cannot sit still when music is playing. Doens't matter what kind, I can dance to it. Even at 54. My gk's think I am so fun. My DH thinks I am having flashbacks to my youth. I love to sing and know most words to a lot of songs. When musical commercials come on I am out of my chair and dancing. DH just laughs. What can I say, hence my dancing. singing kitty. The headsets are apropriate too because when DH goes to bed I use mine so he is not disturbed. I like it loud!!!!!!!!!

Mine is part of my logo from my etsy shop. I've been going to do a whole new one with a whole bunch of my scissors arranged on a background but I haven't gotten around to it yet. And now that I'm in the middle of packing and moving it may be quite a while before I get it done!

He made you a violin? How impressive is that! You're both very creative and gifted.

Mine is a folk art Quilting Angel that my husband cut out and I painted. She's on the wall in the Quilting (Sewing) Room for good luck :P

    What's your story?

I love your story. My avatar (and I've written this before) showcase some of the hundreds of butterflies I rescued from being taken to the dump! Long story short: I was helping an old friend clean out her house when I heard these sounds coming from the box I was carrying out to the trash pile. I dug through the old papers and magazines stacked on top to find Sunbonnet Sue, the butterflies, some crazy quilt patches, and some other squares all nestled within. I still believe it was Sunbonnet Sue crying out to be saved. These squares had been hand pieced by a lady named Sally Carter sometime during the 1950's and 1960's. My friend wanted me to have them because she knew I would treasure them so. I have given many of these squares to those who love them.

Here's my final crazy thought. Since that day I have had butterflies surround me whether they're real or someone gives me butterfly fabric or even pieced butterfly squares. Butterflies bring happiness.
