Yes, I love the smooth top too! I use the cooktop cleaner works really well, a razor blade if it is really cooked on! i don't want to EVER go back to the coils!

I have an induction cook top which I assume is similar to yours. It is all glass and I love mine. I only use a soft hot, soapy wet sponge and then wipe over again with another wet cloth and finally a clean teatowel..good as new! For stuck on spots I just dribble some soapy water on and leave for a bit and it comes off. Admittedly I do clean as soon as possible after cooking each time.

We have "gas on glass" which is where the gas burners come out of the glass top instead of being on metal. We love it! It is very easy to clean. We were told to use Ceramabrite and a soft scrub pad or a straight razor blade for tough messes. It works great. Just remember to immediately clean up sugary messes as they will etch the ceramic top.

I LOVE my glass/ceramic (?) top. I will NEVER go back! When I was looking, another customer told me how fragile they were, which concerned me, but so far so good! I too thought that I might have to buy new pans, but I didn't have to do that either. As far as clean up, it is far easier than my old coil top. I use a cleaner called Cook Top. I've only found it at Sears, but maybe it's elsewhere? I clean and buff my top once a week unless I have a spill. The cleaner info says it actually helps keep the top easy to clean with regular use, and I'm a believer! I have one very stringent rule though-if ANYTHING has spilled on the top, it doesn't get turned on until it's been cleaned up. So far, not a single scratch or bit of white out of place For quickie, no spill clean up a damp sponge works well! Best wishes

When I bought mine, the instructions said to let spills burn off...except sugar. But, I find that they don't actually burn off. Just glad I bought the black cook top instead of a white one.

I've had my ceramic top stove for over 17 years and it looks brand new. I've never ever used soap and water or cleanser on it. I only use glass cook top cleaner, right now it's Weiman Glass Top Cleaner that I got at Kroger. I also suggest that as soon as you spill something on the stove that you immediately wipe it up. If you let it sit, it takes more elbow action to get it off. I'll never go back to another type of stove.

I also use induction and, unlike a regular ceramic cook-top, nothing can burn onto it because only the contents of the pan are heated, not the top itself. In fact, you can even put a kitchen towel under the pot on an induction burner, if you really want to make clean-up easy

I am on my third smooth top. I love them. The cream cleanser sold at Best Buy works great. I put it on after I cook, eat my meal and after the stove is cool I use my cloth for washing dishes and wipe it down. If something is still stuck which is rarely hubby uses scraper with a razor edge. We never had it to remove the speckles though I just knew it would. Now, I have a solid black top with no speckles. It is so shiny dust can be seen on it when the sun shines brightly through the kitchen window. It is sparkly and shiny!!! Love it!!
