This morning, my DIL & DS went to hospital for her to be induced. Well, nothing is happening! DS has me on stand-by; my DH wants just to go, but I'm ok with waiting here. Like I told him, we're not the parents of the mother to be, but the inlaws. All I've done all day is play on this computer. Something better happen soon.
Oh, this is our 8th grandchild and it's just as exciting as the first one.

Those little ones tend to come on their own good time schedule. Congrats!

Oh I know the feeling! Only it was my daughter in labor all evening with me waiting up all night by myself. I finally couldn't take it anymore and drove to Cleveland on the snowy roads on New Year's Day only to wait five minutes before my first grandchild was born! (my husband had no problems sleeping until I woke him up)

Congratulations on your new grandchild...soon.

Lynn haven't you heard that old saying? "good things come to those who wait?" I hope she has a smooth delivery. Sometimes the baby just isn't ready to let go of the securtity inside Mommy..Do they know what the baby is going to be?
It will probably wait and show up in the middle of the night just to be ornery *L* congrats on #8...crafty_linda_b

Yes, I agree with all the comments. Well, if they had asked me, I would have advised to wait at least a week after due day, but I wasn't asked, lol.
My DS did just text; the contractions are getting a little stronger; so at least, it's moving along.
Linda, it's another boy. That will make 5 grandsons and 3 granddaughters.
The name picked out is Joshua Allen. Middle name is my son's middle name; Joseph Allen. I couldn't have asked for a better DIL than Laurie; he waited a long time to get married, but made a good choice.

Like the name Allen. That it my son Alan in my Avatar.

I'm glad you like your DIL, you're very lucky to have her.
(son too)
