I feel her pain; I could have written that story!!

I beat mine -- I don't really 'own' them, they rather think they own me and all of my possessions -- with a bag of shakable ant treatment which goes around the base of the house, outside. I got the stuff at Lowes....orange bag, handle on one end, closeable holes on the other end......you just walk along shaking out the granules in a 3 foot wide swath at the base of the house, and if it doesn't rain in a couple of days, you just sprinkle it with a hose.

You should pass onto her that what ants don't like from your kitchen is cinnamon. I sprinkle it around and they disapear; like magic. I learned this trick years ago when I didn't know what to do because I had a home based daycare center and didn't want to use chemicals.
