Hi - We live in Tenn. and am having the very same problem. I haven't gotten the magnifying glass to watch the party yet tho'.
Monday, we are calling the exterminator as we can't get rid of them either. They surrounded me this AM while on the commode.
We've used all kinds of things to get rid of them and to no avail. The vinegar absolutely does not work. Who on earth came up with that idea?

Cinnamon didn't work here either. We used Terro--2 bottles--and still they came! I think I tried every suggestion out there. When they started marching across the table and onto my own plate, I called the exterminator. The only peace I could make with myself over these little invaders was that they weren't roaches! I've only seen a couple of ants since the exterminator's second application but I'm crossing my fingers. Last week I finally found a huge nest with at least a cup of eggs in an unused mailbox in the carport. They went swimming! How can those tiny creatures be winning the battle? And they seem to be everywhere, not just at my house.

I wonder; Contact makes a roach killer that comes in a tube and it will clean out your house in no time just by putting a little in one room; it's amazing. I just remembered that the last time I was at Home Depot they had one for ants; don't know if it works. I know that you can't buy the roach killer in all states because I had to send it to my dil in Ca. She lived in some bad apts and it was bad. It was bad in my house when I bought it and I had tried everything then I got this and they were gone. One tube will last forever.

I can relate to her problem. We also live in Florida and have ant problems. We make sure we don't leave anything on the counters but yet they ar always there. My husband has tried every remedy he can think of and they have not worked. We even called in a commercial company that promised they could get rid of ants.... did not work.
