Heard most of them and said most to my kids and Grandkids and my Great Grand Children, LOL
If you don't make your kids mind at my house I will and if you don't like that then I welcome you to leave and return when your kid can mind if ever. Now I make exceptions of kids with a learning disability of some sort.

Are we related? My mother used to say those things all the time--but not a million.

My children are grown and some have children of their own. I saved this post and printed it out. Will make 5 copies to send to all of them.

Wouldn't want anyone to say 'Didn't your Mother raise you right?'
Thanks Mary Katherine.

So familiar, and so easy to pass down to the next generation. I wonder how many generations back they all started

To this day, I make my daughter keep $10.00 in her car glove box for "Emergencies."

ROTFL, and yes I have used some of those on my son and DGD. My DGD says to my hubby a lot "grandpa, do you think we live in a barn"?

My Mom would always know what I was doing or fixing to do. I ask her how she knew...She always said "I have eyes in the back of my head". Ok, I accepted that (though a little scary) So now I use that on by younger grandchildren and they all believe me except the 3 year old who called my bluff. He said "Nana you don't have eyes in the back of your head and proceeds to "inspect" my head for them and proclaims the back of my head "eyes free"!!

Which brings me to another saying: "My Mama didn't raise no fool"!!
