Beth - I don't think they show those commercials in this area - Oh! there is a local one in Springfield MO that is advertising the baby store and the 3 year old is SUPPOSE to be talking - but can't understand one word! I am so tempted to call the store and voice my opinion.......but then again, it is probably the owners kids..............It has been on for about 2 years but seems like FOREVER!!

I agree. Most commercials are annoying. My DVR is my best friend. Just fast forward through them. Caught my DD trying to fast forward on regular TV last night. Wish I could do that.

My current "worst" is the JG Wentworth ad featuring Viking characters singing about their need for cash now.

I rarely hear any commercials. The minute they come on, I hit the mute button. Even the ones that are not annoying, can feel like it after they have been on 8 times in the space of 4 hours.

I absolutly despise the ones for ambulance chasing lawyers! They encourage people in frivolous law suits. If I need a lawyer, I can grab a phone book. I definitly will not call any from tv.

I try to MUTE any and all commercials. I particularly despise the medication ads. If there's a new wonder drug out there, my doctor can tell ME about it, not the other way around.

I'm also with Honey on the Sue For Anything ads from lawyers. Hate 'em.

And those that use the old favorite songs to hawk something like cars. It ruins the memories.

Oops, guess a lot of things are bugging me today (just got done paying bills). Really, I'm not usually this cranky.

That "wow" screamer is one of quite a few commercials where both DH and I scramble for the remote to push the mute button.

Commercials are like everything else - some are good, some are not, and some are actually better than the shows they support. I especially like a new one that just came out. A young boy is folding papers for delivery. It's very early in the morning, still dark outside and pouring down rain. His dad is standing in the doorway with a cup of coffee and says " I thought I'd get up early this morning and take a drive. Want to come along?" What a great commercial.

I, too, hate the Staples ad. That guy is sooooooooo annoying. The Progressive girl was funny the first few times, but now is annoying. For some reason, I still like the gecko. I think it is the accent. I try not to pay attention to many of the ads. Let me repeat, I HATE the Staples ad!!!!!
