We got rid of our land line a couple of years ago. Everyone called us on our cell phones anyway! My cell stays with me always...I haven't lost it yet!

We had to keep the landline -- the best/cheapest way to get internet here. We share a family cell plan.

We have our cell just for emergencys and road trips, travel, so it stays off most of the time. It has it's own holder in a pocket in my purse and that is where it stays. We have a land line. Most of the kids know to call it. Now if only I could find where DH left the receiver. LOL

I had a cordless land line for years and spent way too much time searching for it. I keep my cell next to me, so I never search for it. DH? That's another story...

I keep my land line for internet connection and faxing. I only have a pay as you go cell for travel. The cell service in my area is not as dependable as it should be.

I got rid of the land line about two years ago, then got it back while the brother-in-law was living here and then got rid of it the minute he moved out.
Sometimes I have to use someone elses cell phone to find mine and it is usally lost in the bottom of my purse somewhere.

OMGosh, if I told you how many times I've called my "work phone" from my personal one, and vice-versa? It's pathetic! These things just lose THEMSELVES, right?

Or vice versa, when you have put the portable phone down somewhere and can't find it!

My best friend was at work the other day, talking to her sister on the phone, when she realized that she didn't know where her new cell phone was....she ran for the restroom, rummaged through her purse, cleared all of the stuff off her desk and was practically in tears having lost her new "baby"...her sister was trying to be helpful, giving her all kinds of ideas of where to look......WHEN SHE REALIZED THAT SHE WAS TALKING TO HER SISTER ON THE CELL PHONE. (Nope, not Alzheimer's, not yet!)
