wow...wish my hubby would move there. My son wanted to be stationed there we talked him out of it...it would be too hard for us and other family members to visit. Now he is stationed an hour away...Loving it! Enjoy !

Hopefully soon you'll be able to connect with some of our Hawaiian QB'ers. They can show you all the good spots to shop and visit. That will be so much fun for you.

The closest army post from where we are from was ft. lewis :) We were stationed there for 3 months shy of 6 years. But we were still 11 hours away by car. We still enjoyed being somewhat close though. We originally had orders to Alaska but were grateful that those were cancelled. So Hawaii is ok!

Sounds like your DH is a career man. How long has he been in?

My DD has been in 21 years. I hope your DH is taking advantage or the educational opportunities they offer. My DD will have her PhD in about a year. She went in enlisted, got her degree, went to OTS and will probably be a Colonel when she retires.

Enjoy and please tell your soldier that I love him, too; for all he has and is doing for our country and freedoms. Love you, too, cause you also serve!
