My goals for this month are for a healthy diet and excersise plan. Trying to keep the calories down to 1500-1600 daily. Tough at times but need to stay motivated. Working to lose 11# this month. Tough challenage but will try. Need to keep the B/P down. Have an aoretic aneurysm that I need to keep a check on and lower B/P is important (plus weight loss)!!!!!!!!

The winner of the Oct weight loss chalenge with a prize losing 14 lbs is............

    nannyh7

Please PM nannyh7 for her addy

I ususally never post the runner up but this month it was so close I have to

The runner up losing 13.5 lb is..........
    Bookworm

I feel bookworn deserves a prize too so I will send her a FQ also. If anyone else would like to join me in sending her 1 please PM her for her addy.

PLEASE do not forget to mail your themed Christmas FQ.
It seems people join but only about 1/2 of them send the prize. It seems to be a pattern on this forum that people do not follow through with a commitment.

    no complaining, I know.... but....
Wellll . . . we all complain about trying to lose the weight, we just don't complain when we stray off topic and start chatting about our families or Missy's love life.
SHHHHHHHHH I wasn't going to say anything about Missy's love life that will scare them off!!!!!!!!! I was waiting for them to find out themself.

I also didn't say that we diagnosis each others aliments and then between us all we come up with a treatment plan. LOL
Heh. Yeah. Just you newbies wait until the Mike conversation starts. It is all over then. Ha!

Yeah. Doctor Missy to the rescue folks. I will be taking walk-ins in about an hour. LOL

    Missy

Just curious... (I'm new to this thread, and totally jazzed about joining y'all here, and getting to know everyone!)

How long have you been doing this challenge?

How many of you are on a specific diet plan v.s. counting calories or watching portion sizes?

How are your methods working for you? And, do you have any helpful tips to share?

So now I'll answer my own questions to share with you...
I'm new here this month, but have been deailing with "weight management" issues all my life.
As of today, I'm back on track with kind of a hybred plan of my own based on the 6 Week Body Makeover, Weight Watchers Core Plan, and whatever else seems to work for me.
My plan does work as long as I stay motivated to DO it.

Does anyone else find it humorous that the reward for winning the weight loss challege is a bunch of "Fat" quarters? 8-)
