For some reason, when I eat apples, it makes me hungrier. But lettuce fills me up and soothes my stomach if I have heatburn. Weird..

I have a protein as part of each meal - it keeps me from getting hungry.

Next time that happenes have 2 saltine crackers and a BIG glass of water. The saltine have like 20 calories and they will expand in your tummy and fill you up.

If I get the hungry monster on my back I will put a teaspoon of peanut butter on a soda cracker and wash it down with a big glass of ice water with a squirt of lemon or lime. Then get busy on the computer with this board or ancestry .com looking up faimly history.

Let's see...I have been doing this challenge since June. I have gained so much information from the folks on this challenge. I have found that it has been like a buffet...take what you like (and works for you) and leave the rest. I know that some of the tips and tricks have resulted in extra pounds lost. I am so thankful for that!

I am in the last few weeks of the six-month medically supervised diet that is required for me to have the lap band. I am not stopping what I am doing just because it is beyond the six month period. I am going to keep going until I reach my goal which is about 300 pounds lost. I have lost right at about 40 pounds so far.

I am not staying on this challenge to win anything but rather to LOSE all that extra weight.

I know that it would be unfair for me to try and win the FQs after I have the surgery so I will stay on here and write in and read what y'all have to say. I hope you guys do not mind me staying on the challenge. You have become like family to me. Thank you for that!

I hope all is well and you all have a great healthy Labor Day weekend! I will still be here all weekend because my parents are gone to Montana for a poker tournament. Saturday night I am having Mike and his mom over for fajitas and all the fixings. (BTW, yesterday he called me and told me he just HAD to see me. Isn't he so sweet?!?!)

Eat something with lots of fiber...like apples or other high fiber fruit...drink some water...how about some other things that are low in calories.?

I posted a long list of things (and how much of each) that are 100 calories this morning.

Missy
You're right, MIssy, apples are great fiber. My son has lost 98 lbs. and every day ate an apple.
