My favorites are Rottweiler, Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and the Gordon Setter.
But.......the dog that won is owned by the wife of our veterinarian! When I heard them say Attleboro, Massachusetts, I almost fell off my chair!

Default Westminster Dog Show

I hope they have some re-runs on the show as I missed it. We used to show Great Danes many years ago. I'd love to have another dog now (a small one), but it's very difficult when one passes away. They become "members" of the family.
By the way, we used to live in Ohio and are very staunch OSU fans.

I love the Doberman Pinscher's, they are imho, so elegant, beautiful, intelligent, regal. I had one many years ago "Lacey" what a good girl she was. Maybe someday I will have another.
Ironically the dobie I pine for is nothing akin to what we have now, a rescue, that was stated to be Bichon/shihtzu/yorkie, well that little ball of fur is now 44.6 LBS!
My faves are the Black labs, Dalmations, German shepherds, the big dogs!
My least faves: pugs, chows, schnauzers.
Between my Dh and me, we have been bitten 3 times, all three were Schnauzer's and a Schnauzer mix...

Well, it is over, I could not watch in real time, but I have DVRed it, so I will watch it. In the meantime, thru the trailer on ther local news show, I know who the Winner is. I am glad it is a "real" dog. I really get upset with what they do to the poodles, and that horrible thing that is done to the winner of last year (forgot what the breed is called) I am surprised that the animal protection group does not complain........that is not how most of those "hairy" dogs should look!!!!! I did see the Portuguese Water Dog--OMG,,,,they had it looking like a poodle with a bare behind---totally disgusting in my estimation.
Another thing about the WKDS.....some of the female handlers should really look at themselves in the mirror before they come on national tv.....oh my, is all I can say.......

Does anyone know the breed of dog in one of the Fido commercials? There are several dogs...afghan, poodle etc. The one I like.....to me, he looks like an old man...... like a whiskered country gentleman.
I googled dog images but didn't see any dog that looked like it.

Would that be a schnauzer?

We like the small dogs with all the fluffy, silky hair...not the Pekinese, but the others.

Mutts, rescue mutts. I found my Fred and someone had spray painted him with green from his eyes to his tail.
He is the most fun dog we have had. I wrote about him here.......I hope you enjoy.

I am partial to poms, as we have one right now and she is the best dog ever. I would love to have an Affenpincher or a Clumber Spaniel.
