What Do You Wear When You're Quilting?

I keep my old clothes that have gotten holes in them or something spilled on them, and use them for my "art" clothes. I do a LOT of different kinds of crafts, not just quilting. If I get paint or glue or glitter or thread on my old clothes, it doesn't matter. I keep washing and wearing the old clothes until they're completely worn out ... and even then, sometimes I sew the holes up and keep right on wearing them.
I do, of course, change clothes before I go anywhere, and all my friends/family know to call first if they plan to come by.

Where I live people actually go to WalMart to shop in their pajamas. A few strings attached to me are rather insignificant.
On days when I have no plans to go out, I wear a t-shirt and sweats. My UFO Day clothes frequently have strings attached and I usually shop for my mother before returning home. The only ones who mention the strings are sewing friends who couldn't attend the UFO.

Usually I don't wear anything special, but from time to time I need to go out and inevitably I am covered with little snippets of thread, fabric and batting. As stylish as this look is, I would love to find a pattern for a "sewing smock" -- nothing too complicated. Any ideas?
I made a reversible apron that helps except with sleeves. Have gotten a lot of compliments. I can wear quilt related pins and I made a pocket for Kleenex . You can attach a pin or scissor minder also. Very handy and available. It is not quite as warm as a men's shirt but you can make cute aprons from them.

I get dressed every morning. In cool weather slacks and pretty top and in hot weather I don't wear shorts , I like easy fitting summer dresses and skirts. Do my hair and put on min. make up. Nice enough to have to be out in public anytime or answer the door. I don't like to wear sweats or pjs during the day, makes me feel not ready for the day. Threads on my clothes don't bother me at all in public or at home.
