I am also maw maw because my granddaughter started calling me that. Now that they're older and my ex is remarried they sometimes refer to us as Grandma Debbie and Grandma Linda.

I was going for "Grandma" but when my grandson first started talking it came out "Ninga." The name stuck. He is now 7 and his little sister is 5 and I will always be their Ninga. I love it.

So far I have read all the post, and I guess I am the first MIMI. I did not want to be called Grandma, so I told my daughter I wanted something else. I actually wanted Nana, but her Mother in law choose it first. So I am MIMI and love my 8 year old granddaughter "Brodie" and my 1 year old grandson "Jack"

When my son married his wife last year, she had a 5 year old (Zach) from before.
He calls her grandmother "Grandma" her mother "Mommo" and started calling me "Grandma Sue".
I really wanted to be something else, so I told him that I wanted to be called Yia Yia, ( I have 2 Greek Friends)
so I am Grama Yia Yia. I works great for me. Hopefully our new one (Noah) calls me the same when he learns to talk.

Happy quilting,
Susan
