Besides quilts, wearable art vests, jackets. I made my cousin a rag doll for Christmas. I make her outfits for the holidays. I think for Christmas, I'll make her a red velvet coat. Potholders, table toppers, table runners, wall hangings, purses, wallets, organizers, pin cushions in every shape, from a felt roasted turkey to counted cross stitch. also, a white velvet one in a crystal candlestick holder, and all beads dangling down.. Zipper bags of different sizes and shapes. I've made a large number of them for different gifts in guilds. cloths, notebooks, stuffies, fairies and mermaids.place mats napkins holiday ornaments. Teddy bears, nad a lot more I cn't thnk of right now.

Table runners and pillowcases for the family. I have seen some things for my granddaughter. The thing I can't do because of the virus is sewing costumes for the local high school and a local community theater. I have been doing this for almost 20 years and have worked on probably on 50 different shows. It has been a lot of fun. We were just getting ready for Beauty and the Beast when we got closed down. I was supposed to help out The Wedding Singer this month. Eventually the shows will go on

In the past I made some pillowcases but I just don't like the feel of them. They don't feel like the sheet sets I buy.
They're fun to make though but I'm not making any more.

I make lots and lots of things- I started sewing with a machine at age 8 - (55 years ago) made most of my clothes growing up, most of my children’s clothes, toys, home dec items, coats, hunting suits for uncles, brothers. Whatever. I also make totes, baskets, bags, purses, rugs, I love wool rug hooking, locker hooking and crocheting rugs. I knit, crochet, weave, dye fabric, Zentangle, upholstery when necessary ( not my favorite , but doable when the need arises) embroidery, punch needle, ....
right now I have a flannel, hand embroidery project going, a wool appliqué hand project, am making cathedral window Roman shades for my sewing room, quilt ufo’s, a wool hooked rug, a twisted twine rug and a lockerhooking rug and a large,crocheted Afghan almost done. These are projects I’m actually working on regularly.
over the years I’ve tried many crafts and tend to pull out something different whenever the mood strikes or a request comes up.
through my 20’s and 30’s every year for new year’s I would choose a new craft to take lessons in or learn to do- if I enjoyed it I have kept at it, if it wasn’t ( my cup of tea) I didn’t do it for long after learning it- and something’s I liked and did for years- then just moved on ( like ceramics and clay work)

I garment sew making my husbands shirts. He wears a 15 1/2" x 36" sleeve. Tall and skinny. LOL He likes quilting fabric for them. My passion in quilting hand needle turn applique. At one time I made all my kids clothes including jeans. Also made my clothes and husbands shirts. A long time ago I made the displays for a Walmart. I have probably made over 500 shirts.

It's fun reading about all the things quilters sew that aren't quilts. And the crafts - sometimes quilts just aren't enough! Like so many others, I learned to sew as a child and made my own clothes throughout high school and then fancy dresses for my daughter. Doll clothes galore, Barbie and larger doll sizes. With a new great-grandchild I started sewing baby accessories and really enjoyed bibs and burp clothes. And, of course, all those other quilt-related trivia such as bowl cozys. I also enjoy other crafts such as knitting, crochet and cross stitch. Jigsaw puzzles seem to have captured a bunch of my time lately, though.
