    What my Hubby thinks.

This is what my Hubby thinks he will look like by the time I come out of the fabric shop.

My DH feels the same way - except he thinks that about any shopping except for car shopping!
A quilt is like a good life. It's full of mistakes, but, in the end, it looks pretty good.

I always take mine because he buys me more than I would buy.

The first time I saw this picture I thought - Oh, that's where I left him! Except then I realized he never got out of the car.

Mine goes in with me. He went to the Paducah quilt show with me this week and bought more than I did.

awww- I have to say- at times I kind of wish mine would sit out there on the bench & wait- I've asked my hubby to stop by a shop when we were going somewhere just to pick up a package of needles or some other (one little under $10 item) and wound up spending over $300! he kind of goes crazy over fabric collections some times- often costs me lots (and yes, once in a while he pulls out his wallet---but still--- I generally already have a ton of projects going on & really wasn't there for *all that* I often try to make my quick runs to the quilt shop while he is at work-just to save money. traveling/vacations tend to really get crazy with him- because he figures I can not get (this) at home- so I better take advantage here...

My husband goes into the shop with me, asks where the car parts are, gets a laugh (usually) and then goes and naps in the car or listens to the radio. Works for us!

My husband will stay in the truck and read his book. He has been reading the Star Wars series, I think he is on book 40....lol

Well my hubby is really not as bad as in the picture. He goes in with me and sometimes he picks out material he would like me to use in a pocket book or something useful. He really is fun to be with.

My DH does not go into the fabric shop -- except when he buys me a gift certificate (and I do encourage that behavior)

That is what I feel I am going to look like any time my DH takes me to an automotive store.

Luckily there is a harbor freight a block away from my LQS so I don't have this problem he drops me off and by the time he's done at the man's version of joann's I am good to go.

I love the picture. But have to say my husband doesn't mind fabric shopping. He never complains but I know he has to be bored.

My DH waits in the car and then asks how much I spent when I return. Then he makes me go back because I didn't spend enough. He reads Isaac Asimov, maybe that's it! I am thrilled when I can get him to go with me because his eye for color is far superior to mine.
When we take long trips on our trikes, he makes me plan for fabric shopping along the way. I usually ship 3 or 4 boxes back and it's a repeat surprise when we get home and I open them all. Good guy and I am keeping him!

In our town they made an Ace hardware next door to Joannes, it perfect! You see couples come out of their cars together then split to go their own ways. Works for me.
Have a great day and God bless!
