My cat Molly used to do that - we'd hear a clunk when she hit the heat register. "There goes Molly!"

When my australian shepherd was a puppy his favorite spot was the window sill behind the couch. He was surprised when he outgrew it. One of the outdoor cats sleeps on the roof of the truck. My shih tzu/poodle, Baxter, likes to sleep on DH's pillow after he leaves for work. (DG gets up at 3:30 a.m. so this works well for Baxter)

My grey kitty loved to sleep in empty coke boxes. She did it all the time. No other empty boxes just coke boxes because of the small opening. We even tried making her a special box with a small opening. NOPE! Had to be a coke box.

What a fun topic. I loved all the replies. Our kitties compete for who can get closest to the woodstove. You'd think their blood would boil. Their fur gets toasty warm. Jake loves it when daddy builds a fire (for him).

Geez.
Be careful of computer cats. We used to laugh about KatyKat "being on the computer again" until she inadvertently deleted several vital files from my computer for me, necessitating an expensive trip to the computer man for diagnostics and rebuilding. And, another huge cat used to sleep on top of my closed laptop, and I think it contributed to the malfunctioning of my screen.

This must be a boxer thing. Mine did it, too!

One of my cats sleeps on top of the microwave on the counter in the kitchen. Don't know why. I think it's the highest place she can get to and not fall off of! LOL
