I am reading all the Jenette Oke series. They are Christian Fiction, but you swear you are right there with them, sharing the joys and sorrows of Frontier life. The Faith they had to have in God to get them thru daily life was incredible!!

Karen Kingsbury is my favorite Christian Fiction author. Another "can't put it down" author! I just started her newest series "Take One". Lots of the old characters from the other series'.
This thread has made me begin another LIST!! Titles and authors that I MUST read!! LOL! Thanks!

Thorn Birds was one of my favorite books. Loved the mini-series with Richard Chamberlain. Boy, that is showing my age !

Now I'm reading Catherine Clinton's biography of Harriet Tubman. It's a fascinating portrait of a great woman. She triumphed over the hatred and ignorance of America in the 19th century, through her amazing strength, intelligence, and faith.

Harriet Tubman's home is about an hour away from where we live. Our Secretary of State for Abraham Lincoln, William Seward, also lived there. Both are museums. Some contrast when you visit the two.

I'm reading The Blue Sweater. It's the biography of a woman who left a major Wall Street job to help create a loan program for the women of Africa.
