Lightly seasoned Hoki (kind of Hake from NZealand) fillets pan fried in butter and olive oil, served over Spanokopita (Greek dish basically spinach and rice cooked up with some onion). It's pretty healthy and quick to do, so a good workday meal.

Homemade turkey vegetable noodle soup and homemade bread. For dessert homemade pineapple banana nut bread with a dollop of Cool Whip.

Mmmmm everybody's dinners look delicious.

MaryKatherine, don't be embarrassed I love cooking I've been cooking for a family since I was 10 some days I'm just done with it. Mr. Bills idea of cooking is warm up leftovers, nuke a frozen Marie calandars pot pie, or call for a pizza. As far as grocery shopping, he would probably wind up in the fetal position by the frozen stuff wondering why there are so many choices.

I don't mind cooking. I've basically been cooking 2 meals all my married life, 33 yrs, cuz one doesn't eat something. Usually that one is my husband. I just want ideas sometimes. Yesterday we had no water all afternoon and evening. So I thawed some haddock fillets and baked them with butter, garlic salt and chives, instant mashed potatoes, used bottled water and frozen corn. Then I didn't have to clean up the dishes for a while until we got the water running again so I was able to sew for a while. I had chicken breasts for yesterday but without water I couldn't clean them or me too well. Don't realize how much you miss something until you don't have it. Tonight? I think we are eating out, no time. Running, running.....

So many good ideas. Thanks for all the input. I get in a rut sometimes and can't think of anything new or different. Now I have some great things to plan.

Tonight is Marie Callender's frozen meals, they were on sale for $2 each, can't beat that for a good meal. I like hers better than any of the others. Some Pillsbury Rustic bread and fruit salad and two vanilla sandwich cookies will round it out.
