We are having Corn Chowder. It is easy, economical and we both like it.
Here is the recipe:
Ham, chopped into bite-size chunks
1 or 2 potatoes, scrubbed and cubed
1 can Creamed Corn.
Combine all above, add salt and pepper and let cook on med-low abut 20 min.
Serve with a glass of milk, bread and butter and maybe a cookie if you have any, for dessert!!
Enjoy!

last night I made simple fried potatoes mixed with browned hamburger. Tonight we are having pizza, but my FAVORITE thing to make for a really nice supper is Sauerbraten (German Pot Roast). I wish I could have some right now.

You all need to post recipes. This all sounds so good. I am making London broil. I put it in a marinade this morning and will cook it on the grill. I might make some kind of mushroom sauce for it. I just put some baked potatoes in the oven. Not sure what the veggie will be yet. Everyone is working late tonight so I got to take a much needed nap after work.
I marinade it in some EVOO, wine vinegar, garlic, soy sauce, worchestershire sauce, and thyme.

Tonight -- flounder filets baked with seasoned panko crumbs and parmesan topping, some quick-cook pasta stuff out of a bag and cooked carrots. Dessert later will be frozen yogurt.

BOSTON1954: Ummmm....sauerbraten...one of my very favorite meats! Especially with spaetzle.

And I've picked up some great ideas here. Thanks everyone! Thinking of what's for dinner is not my favorite thing
