When I worked at the grocery store the Seafood Dept guy would make all kinds of unusual things for us to try. Most were great but one day he made alligator. It was like rubber and tasted awful. Never again.

LOL on the scrapple. Scrapple is pork scraps and meal or flour fried up-gross. You can hear your arteries clog while you're eating it. Worse thing I ever ate was squid, the taste was smoky, the thing thattotally grossed me out was the texture, it squeaked all over my teeth. I am getting the willies right now just thinking about it.

okra -- need I say more?
Oh -- yeah, just remembered something else....Bought a diet book by Richard Simmons (I think) -- did a fish dish - followed the recipe to the T......We took one bite...looked at each other, took another. Then, without saying a word, we both took the dishes to the garbage can, dumped it, got our shoes on and went out to dinner...UGH!

When I as young my Grandmother cooked Sunday dinner for us. We sat down and passed food around. The meat she made told us it was beef. So I took a little piece. It looked kinda of funny to me. I ate one mouthful and I did not like it. After dinner she said it was tongue. My mother and me had a race to the bathroom. Just the thought that I ate a piece made me gag.I always made sure to eat before we went to Gram's for dinner. Didn't like her surprises.

As a child: Resonstituted asparagas soup. My mom MADE me eat it. I was stubborn, but when she reheated the soup for the third time, I decided that I would starve to death before she would give in. I ate.....and then she had to mop the floor.
As an adult: I am not sure what it was (could have been morels ??) It was a brown, gritty, lumpy thing and it was certainly not what I thought I had ordered (we were in France). I drank the entire bottle of wine and never managed to eat the food. Most expensive meal I never had. lol
