We live in country and have no choice but to have a well. But, we are above a large artisan aquifer and it is the best, cleanest water I have ever had.

We don't have a choice as we live over the river and through the woods 35 minutes from any town....we have a well that is 629 feet deep and puts out only 3 gallons per minute. This is our second well. We have a 2500 gallon water storage tank and that really helps. The only time we have trouble is if a pipe breaks and drains the tank. But, boy, oh boy, does our water taste good!

Actually, while I don't blame you a bit.....could we not have them dig anywhere, please? We had a situation where the state decided that a local reservoir, that is spring fed, was a hazard because it was an earthen dam. So, they drained over half the lake, which disrupted the water table and dried up a bunch of wells. Argh!

I grew up with a spring which my Mom and Dad still use. We live in town and have "city" water which is purified from the local lake.

It's not like that anymore, the chlorine odor in the water is awful.

I made the mistake of using warm tap water to rinse my sinuses out while were there once. My nose bled for 10 minutes.
At times the Truckee looks like a small brook winding through town.

We have no choice but to have City water & I will NOT drink or cook with it. When I do have to have some of it, I will get a bladder or kidney infection every time. I have bottled water delivered to my door and also have a filter on the faucets. Spring water tastes so very good!

Well water here about 180 ft down in the spring water. Comes out clean, cold and wonderful. NO chemicals.

We live in the city, but are on the edge - so we don't have all the amenities of the city (yay!) - meaning we still have a well. We are borderline on nitrates, so we use an ro system to filter it, but otherwise we're very happy with the pure taste of WATER!
