Learned to sew in high school, sewed my own clothes and for my girls until they got too old for home made. Sew for myself once in a while but mostly quilts now.

I wanted to add that my latest sewing is a Batman costume for 3 y.o. gs. The hood w/ears I had to design myself. I looked at one I saw at Target and of course gs wouldn't cooperate so I could make the thing fit the first time LOL I was taking it apart and sewing back together last night - he didn't even wear it to preschool today for the party anyway. We watch him 4 days a week. I had made his dad a cape and hood when he was about 5 and he wore it everyday LOL

Oh gosh, I started sewing as a kid and guess I will right up until I die.

I sew as well as quilt - I used to make a lot of clothes, but not so many now. Lately I've been making little coin purses.

I used to make my own clothes many years ago but lately I have really gotten the quilting bug and now I do mostly quilting. I occasionally make a few doll dresses for my grandaughters.

If it goes under the sewing machine needle, I have probably tried it or done it. I sewed as a4-H'er, went on to tailor my husband's suits, daughter's prom dresses, son's western shirts, etc. I still do limited sewing--mostly quilting now.

I just started sewing less than two years ago, and started quilting about six months later. I am learning to use my serger now too. It's all fun, but challenging to figure out things.
