I really don't like snow or the cold. I have to go to work no matter what. At least I have wheel drive.

I love a good snowfall. But I do not have to get out in it if I do nto want to either. Big difference. But I always do get out and at least drive around the neighborhood so I can see the beauty. Me driving on the highway or Interstate just does not happen! LOL I would be a hazard to everyone. LOL

Franie you take care & be careful with that foot & ankle!!! Don't want you re-injuring it!!! ;)

You can keep your snow.
I know it is on the way here to Pennsylvania.

I hate it.

We are in the tail end of Indian Summer. It has been beautiful - little nippy, but sun out and you can still feel the warmth on your face. But tomorrow, it is supposed to start getting cold. And that means snow is on the way. We usually get a few flurries here and there (we already had one, but it didn't stay on the ground, just hit the windshield on the car and sort of slapped you in the face) and then we get hit good! We survived the winter of 1991-1992 when we had the worst blizzard on Hallowe'en. Yard was full of candy bars come Spring and the snow melted. That was funny. But that was 20 years ago. It has been relatively easy as far as winter goes here. Every month during winter we have a PIP report in the newspaper. PIP means PAIN IN the POSTERIOR report - It tells the low temperature, the high temperature, the snow fall, the ice, everything relative to winter (snow emergencies, etc.) and it can get pretty wicked even since 1992, but I don't ever remember it worse than that! We had snow up to the top of our clothesline pole. It was like we were walking through corridors to get to the front or to the garage. It was fun though. I love snow until the 25th of December. Then I hate it! I hate being cold, I am scared to drive in the snow, I hate the ice. My husband fell last winter, broke his arm, had to have surgery to pin it back together and put a steel plate in his arm. And he is 74. So this year it is going to bother me even more, because I am going to be more protective of him(He doesn't like that). Anyhow, we get through winter and listen to the sounds of the robins that have come back and see the crocuses coming up and that first dandelion. What a sight. A lady went to England and saw that sweet little flower and brought it back to the United States and that is how these lawn care companies make their millions, from a little old lady who loved the flower known as the Dandelion! I wonder who brought in Crabgrass!!! Enjoy the day, hot or cold. Be grateful that we are here to enjoy it! We have a roof over our heads, a sewing machine at hand and fabric up the you know what. What else do we need - cup of tea, coffee, a coke, hey, how bout a glass of wine? Any of you ever try Choco-Vin. It is a red wine mixed with chocolate - to die for!!!!!!! Tastes a little like Bailey's. I got a bottle from my sister for my birthday and am waiting for the BIG BLIZZARD to drink it! Have a great day! Edie

Oh, you said that "four letter word". SNOW!! I had fun with that last winter though. The priest from the local church was going into the post office at the same time I was. I said in kind of an outraged tone of voice, "did you hear the four letter words that the local news person said this morning?" He was all concerned and asked what I had heard. "snow" "wind" "cold" I didn't think he would ever stop laughing. He said "you got me that time". I'm not ready for snow yet, last year we had snow in mid October. A Christmas blizzard that left everyone eating alone because it started on the 24th and didn't stop till the 26th. Was 3 days before we could get the doors open, then it was because the neighbor came over and scooped the doors out.

First off, before I tell you about Choco-Vin, I just heard on the radio that it is going to be a beautiful next three days in the 60's. Yahoo!

Now back to the Choco-Vine. Sorry, misspell!!!!You can find Choco-Vine at most any liquor store. Google Choco-Vine and it will come up with a story about it that will make you go out right now and find a bottle. The bottle runs around $9-10.00. It is good cold, but it is better room temp. I am salivating right now at it is 7:49 AM CST!!! DST went off last night. Screws me up until New Years!

Anyhow, you will really enjoy it. But it is not to be shared with anyone. Give a person a bottle, but don't share it! It just goes too fast if you do and it is the kind of wine that you can work all day long doing this or that and then in the midst of the toil, you think Choco-Vine!!! And at that moment, you want enough for a nice glass. Like a stein (only kidding). It is a sippy wine, not for dinner, maybe for dessert, but why screw up the taste of it. Hey, enjoy! Edie

Either outcome is good! I can think of very few things better than being snowed in at a craft show with friends - or being snowed in at home with my warm little sewing machine!

Lauriejo - you sound more like someone from Tenn. than Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. I love the Ohio-an snow.
