They definitely know how to get the attention by getting smack dab in the middle of the project when it's in reach. I had one of my cats try to use a quilt I had loaded on my machine as a hammock. She received a big surprise when it gave way under her. Luckily, it only pulled a few threads from the edges on the leaders, but it did scare the heck out of her. She didn't get hurt, but it was pretty funny.

Fur babies are always ready to lend a helping hand with a quilt layout. Muffin is a cutie. Nice quilt, too.

Very cute doggy and pretty quilt. He looks like he worked too hard arranging the pieces. He is plum tuckered out.
My little Shih Tzu Dusty is the happiest when I drop a piece of fabric. He grabs it and runs off with it. I tell him he is not a quilter, I guess he wants to be.

Your helper is very cute. It looks like he is helping with testing out nap time with your quilt too.

They have a way of stretching to get maximum coverage of the quilt with their bodies.
