The Stephen King novels translate well to the big screen, my fav would be "The Green Mile".

The list for "worst" would be too long to consider!

I say Interview with a Vampire. Tom Cruise was the worst representation of Lestat. To short and nasely, and pinched, starved looking. Lestat was a hunk. Of course just my opinion...

Anything Stephen King wrote is much better than the movie although I have warmed up a bit to the miniseries for The Stand.

I would say the 1990s version of Little Women is my worst. The story didn't follow the book as well, the actors weren't believable, and the spirit of the book was not there. I did catch part of the 1930s version and I liked it a lot better.

My favorite book is City of Joy about a family in the slums of Calcutta India. It was made into a horrible movie with Patrick Swayze as the main priest character and everything was "cleaned up" for the movie audience.

Lovely Bones would be the worst book to movie for me. I loved the book. Many scenes in the movie were even in the book. To me, it was nothing like the book. I bought the DVD before watching it and such a waste of money for me.

I didn't read the book, but just saw the movie with my daughter who did read the book. We both loved the movie and she said it was as good as the book.

Anything written by Stephen King! His books just always seem , low rent, awkward and silly once they're in a movie format.
