Does anyone watch the house hunter shows...and how people complain of the bathrooms are too small or they need at least 3 or 4 bathrooms in the house or double sinks...yuk...who wants to clean 3 or 4 bathrooms....I am happy with just the two. I don't even want another shower to clean.
Carolaug, your bathroom turned out great! The finish looks very good! I love looking at interiors of american houses. Their so different from swedish homes! Ours are white, white and white... and it somehow never gives that homey feeling as warm colors provide.

Three years ago we tore down our old crummy trailer in order to put in a new modular dream home. We lived in the garage for three months with a port-a-potty and went to the gym for showers. The last month was spent staring at the completed place waiting for the final inspector to show up and approve. That was bad. Can't believe it took nine months for one bathroom.

Carol, I seriously covet your new bathroom!! It's lovely, the perfect size, good colors, and that shower - yummy!
I'm so sorry you had a such a go of it with the contractor. We once did a kitchen redo - mid 1990s in Keller, TX - and it was only a three week ordeal, beautifully done by caring, cooperative, skilled contractor and laborers, and the tile guy was truly an artist. We were so pleased and lucky; I feel for those who struggle with these issues when they should be a blessing.
Your redo is marvelous!

Your new bath is amazing. I have a thought to suggest. If you do not want to hang a curtain over the window, you can buy contact paper for glass that looks like lace, or stained glass to adhere to the window, for privacy without losing the light from the window, or using a small tension rod, hang a half curtain on the bottom half only. Please let us see it again when you are done adding your touches.
