I used to collect M & M radios and dispenders cause I just love those guys. However I found if you collect stuff people give it to you for every holiday. When I moved in December I sold some as I really just wanted to radios and some dispensers. However I still have over 200 items. My old apartment had planter shelves in every room I sat them on. This new house is what I call traditional Florida. Built in the 50's it is cement block and the celilings are one 7 feet so no shelves. I haven't even unpacked them since the move and not sure I really miss them.

I don't think I'm a collector. I'm more of a keeper. I am keeping precious momentoes that I have from my and hubby's families. We have put together some wonderful 'collections' that way. For one thing, I now have a little over 200 vintage, and lovely, hankies. I have a box of old ties, some back to the 20's. There are so many lovely and fun things that we are enjoying - or at least "I" am. Hubby thinks we still have too much stuff. And I haven't mentioned the lovely old quilts and handiwork. A couple of quilts are over 100 years old and one of them looks brand new. I think of these as my someday projects. Someday when I retire I am going to make something out of those hankies, ties, shredded handiwork, etc.
