How do you have time to make apple dumplings when you were making that beautiful quilt???? I can't find time for anything but laundry and cookies...

We live in the Seattle area. My dad grew up on a farm in St. Louis (yes, there was farmland in St. Louis when he was a kid). When his parents passed Dad brought their cider press home and we have had cider pressing day every year since then. Yesterday was crush day and it is always a great day. We all get to take home fresh cider and while the squeezing group has been outside the rest of us have been in the kitchen. Everyone also gets to take home apple pie, apple butter and if we have really had a good day apple jelly. And a good time was had by all.
