I remember all but the soldering irons. Do you remember the Helm's Bakery truck ??? Good humor ice cream truck??? Bazooka Bubblegum from the Good Humor truck with baseball cards??? Oh dear. I'm old as dirt and twice as dusty. Thank you very much. ;-)

How many do you remember?
Head lights dimmer switches on the floor.
Ignition switches on the dashboard.
Pant leg clips for bicycles without chain guards.
Soldering irons you heat on a gas burner.
Using hand signals for cars without turn signals.

I knew I was older than dirt and you just confirmed it for me... Being older than dirt is better than the option and being older than dirt isn't such a bad thing, I've got a ton of memories to mix with the dirt...

My favorite memory is the console radio that was taller than me as a child (that was before TV). It had a big dial that I always got in trouble for playing with it moving the needle around the dial screen by turning the knob round and round. Also remember playing outside in the dark..no parents worried about that. Summers were so hot, no air conditioners..just shade of the trees and if you were lucky a breeze. Lots of Kool-aid made with sugar and orange push-ups.
