NOt retired but not working since 2005. Yahoo. Of course I do more now than when I worked. Then hubby retired due to his heart attack. Lots of time to quilt and play.

    I can't wait. Unfortunately, I don't get to retire until Sep 30, 2013 (3 years & 3.5 months).

I retired as a police dispatcher 13 years ago. I love every minute of being retired. My DH has also taken over some of the household tasks. I love that.

    Hi,
I retired two years ago from operating an in home daycare for 34 years......was hard to adjust at first. My dh does lots around the house and cooks dinner too. He's just the best!

NOW, I am working a few days a week at my LQS and it's like wonderful....talk about fun! I do samples for the shop and make up kits and help customers and talk quilting 8 hours a day! I am thoroughly enjoying myself.

    Life just keeps getting better!

    Bev

Me three!! I haven't worked in nearly 15 years now, and am amazed at how much I used to get done (needlework) when I had a job. Now I have lots of plans but not much motivation to get them done.

I just retired at the end of March and am still getting used to being at home full time. We live in NC and summer has hit with hot and humid so not too much quilting going on, am working on making tops and will quilt once the weather cools down.

I can't say I'm retired, as I can't draw Social Security for 6 more years, but I've always been a stay at home wife. I guess that qualifies as just plain tired!

DH had to retire early due to health issues so he's on the couch watching TV all day. I wish he was able to be up and about but he can't. Him being in the house all day long just wears me out and I can not get anything done. It's a mental thing.

I'm not 'retired'. I'm 48 and came 'home' last August to be with our boys as they finish up high school. We homeschool and I have worked for 10 years and we knew it was time for me to be home fulltime for them. MAYBE I'll go back to work when the youngest is done, but I'm thinking not - by then we'll be in fulltime missions work most likely.

Now you ladies know that retired mean real tired right? you get more done now than you ever did working. hehe. well that is what my dad says. he retired from working in the corporate world early to go to work for our church. he loves every min of it. I retired from working outside the home when I had my kids. will probably go back to working when they are school age.

My husband was forced to retire 10 yrs ago due to a back injury. At the time I was working in the office of a mall that was going to be torn down and rebuilt as a "village" of stores. The office was closing so hubby ask me to not work anymore after that job. He keeps busy restoring old cars and I quilt - We both work the gardens.... win win for both of us.
