Is your glass half empty or half full?

I try to be a half-full kind of gal, but sometimes stumble on a bad day and tip over my glass.
A while back there was a thread going where people posted about "what made them happy today." I loved that. It really helped me to fill up my glass, because it showed how the small and simple things can mean so much. Threads like those definitely bring about positive feelings, rather than negative.

My glass is half-full. I have worked very hard to get to that place. Does the negativity on the board bother me? No! If I don't like a thread, then I don't read it. I think this board is more positive than negative, and I think it will stay that way. Can we keep the negative out, I doubt it. Life is both positive and negative. If the negative bothers you don't look at it, but please don't ask people to censor their thoughts! Sometimes we have to rant, it's human. Then we get over it and move on. I know, some threads do seem to stir up emotions. I wouldn't have it any other way. We are emotional animals, we empathize and sympathize with fellow beings. So hears to the glass being half-full, and living life to make it so full that it runneth over! And here's to have a saucer under the glass to catch the overspill! LOL :-D

i'm a world champion ranter. this is not the place for it.
it's appropriate to share verified/verifiable facts and public service information. example: somebody recently shared a frightening story which caused us to think twice before BBQing on a wooden deck. lots of us had to admit we'd never considered the dangers. negative story ... positive outcome.
ranting and raving poison the discourse. anger breeds anger.
step away from the keyboard and count to 10. (or ... if you have a temper like mine, count to 100, take a walk around the yard, do some laundry, and count to 100 again. )

LMBO you two :XD:
Some may have forgot (or new members who weren't here yet) the tone that was being set in this section a while back.
For a while, it could get a bit depressing or anger inspiring just scrolling down and reading the titles of the topics in this section.
This was why the PDA area was set up, so that this section would be a lighter and more cheerful
I hope that those reading this will take it in the manner in which it was intended... to encourage and inspire us to lighten up the topics in here a again :D:D:D
