Welcome from Ohio. Questions always welcome, I do handquilting and usually very easy, like criss cross hatching.

Hello and welcome from Perth, Western Australia. If you like handwork, you could try English Paper Piecing...not just Grandmother's Garden, but 1000 Pyramids, Dresden Plate, Tumbling Blocks, all can be made using the paper templates for accuracy. Just use the search application here and also check out Youtube, there's heaps.

Take a look at Quilter's Cache and find a simple block and try a sampler!

Good Luck! :)
I get all of my patterns from Quilter's Cache. Different sizes, different styles, different ways to design, easy to understand instructions and free! Love it! Edie

Welcome from Wisconsin. You'll get lots of help here. These quilters know what they're doing.

I have no knowledge on hand piecing or quilting, other than I can say I couldn't do it. So, good luck on that. I also just have to say "Flow Gently, Sweet Afton", 'cause that is the first thing that popped into my head when I started to read your first posting.
That said, welcome to the board from WV.
