Hello from Northern Germany
#26
Welcome from St. Paul, Minnesota. I am of German heritage. My mother's side of the family are all quilters going back to my Great Great Grandmother who was from Germany. I probably got my love of quilting from the German side. The Swedish side of me is the patience!!!!!!
My husband's family is from originally Ronneburg. They came to the United States back in 1852 and settled and created the Amana Colonies in Iowa. "Bleib Treu". Wonderful place to go and visit.
I have a friend in Wertheim. Beautiful area. Never have been there but she did send me a print of the castle there.
Again, welcome! You will enjoy everyone associated with Quilting Board and you will learn so much. They will all become a part of your family. Edie
