A 2.5" strip is what is usually used as a sashing between each block. Then adding a long strip on each side the length of your table runner also using a 2.5 " strip. Thank you and everyone for ideas. Im gonna try sashing/binding in a bold color, take the leap. i'll probably get 2 or 3 table runners out of these. But Im gonna sit on it for now.
Im open to any more ideas at all if you can see my photo.

Try laying these out on a piece of fabric to see what looks good to you. I would use the log cabin in the center with 2 strip blocks on each end. If you set one in a straight setting and the other on point you will get different looks and sizes. If you don’t have fabric stash at home just carry the blocks with to a store

Yes, i didnt think of them on point. that creates even more options! My goodness, i love this site and having fellows in the face of all this disease and isolation; and thank you...yall reminded me why I am so so happy we have not lost this art to history!

jom -- your blocks are loaded with spring to me! Good job! Take the blocks to the fabric stores and find a pop color for the sashing as has been suggested. Pick your favorite color to compare against these first. These will be great runners! Welcome to the board.
