I use to quilt with my mother during the depression and I still have her singer treadle machine that needs the tensions adjusted. Right now it is in storage as there is not room till my addition is completed and I get my stuff out of storage. It's going to feel like Christmas. I started sewing when my first daughter was born because my mother would not allow us to cut the fabric or sew because of fear that we would ruin it and we didn't have the money to purchase more. My mother made our dresses out of flour sacks.
I am looking forward to getting to know this group of quilters.
Adding my Indiana Welcome we joined the same day :D

As a lot of the responses are from Leota, that's because I do not know how to use the computer and she is answering them and forgets to log in for me...bear with me as I learn to how to use the computer. I really do feel accepted by this group. Thank you.
maybe we will run into each other sometimes. be brave, I didn't know squat about computers but you learn fast.

Hi and welcome from Texas, to the board, you will love it here, there are so many really sweet ladies here and are always so very helpful. You are so lucky to have a daughter who really loves you and to quilt with.
