    WOW. So many welcomes. Thank you all. I am attaching a picture of the crazy quilt. It was not dated, but was signed by Gertie. The stitching is very primitive, leading me to believe that she was doing her first quilt. She embroidered many sweet things on the pieces. A canoe on water, with the shore visible. A diamond ring. A derby hat and cane together. A small log cabin. Her name was quite large and printing of a child. Amazing.
    Thank you all for welcoming me. I hope to be on from time to time. Will lurk a bit and join in where I think I have something to add.

    Did you know that you can freeze hard boiled eggs. We used to sell buckets of them to restaurants. Also boiled eggs that had been chopped were sold by the bucket for salad bars in restaurants. No need to use them immediately that way.

    I boil them and then put ice cubes to cover. Then the shells just fall off. Always a perfect peeled egg.
