I think I heard somewhere that you can try to rub over your mat with one of those shower scrunchies that replaces your washcloth-not sure of the correct name of them...may work may not..not sure never tried it. Worth a try..let us all know.

Do a search on here. Someone said you can soak it for awhile (I did mine in the bathtub) and it works wonders. that's also a good tip for the tip thread!

I had also ready that you can soak the mat in the tub, however this is only for Olfa mats. Even on their website they recommend soaking them once a month as they love water. But beware, not all manufacturers recommend this.

I have a Fiskars mat and I called them to see if they recommend the same thing. They told me "NO!"

So please check with the manufacturer of your mat before soaking it.

I also heard that the scrunchies work great, but haven't tried it.

I bought a product called cutting Matt cleaner at LQS. Works great ! Cost $7.00

I always save my used dryer sheets to clean my cutting matt. Does a great job and no added expense.
