Welcome to a new experience - a whole bunch of fabric crazies! Great that you have the treadle. Wish I had my grandmother's (it's in CA and I'm in WI). I wish I could answer your FM question, but alas...keep inquiring.

I'm from WI also, I live near Sparta. I'm loving my old treadles a bit to much and have rescued several.
And I enjoy using them. My granddaughter has FMQ on the old singer that is electric and really had fun with it. I have a longarm, so I haven't done the fmq on the treadle.
Enjoy your machine, and if you are close, I'd borrow some of my books, I have to many. PM me if you'd like.
