Welcome, find a quilt group to join and take a beginners class at you local quilt shop. Are you any wheres near Keepsake Quilting? One of my favorite shops. As someone else said, get a book by Eleanor Burns from Quilt in a Day and you can't go wrong. Enjoy

Welcome from Texas. There are people here who can answer anything you ask, and help you as you learn. When I am helping someone to start, I suggest starting with small projects, like candle mats, table runners, and lap quilts. Sometimes, if one starts out with a big project, they get discouraged and lose interest.

Thank you everybody for the welcome. Once I get my book in the mail i'm gonna start putting together a kit of stuff ill need then start something. I'd kind of like to do a crib size quilt for our new baby who is due in October.

Welcome from Nebraska. When I just started, I really ( and still do ) enjoyed Eleanor Burns Quilt in a Day series. They taught me quiet a bit. Very easy directions - pictures and all, too. lol You'll pick up a lot of good tips on this group too. Just have fun and enjoy it!
